Ack! [Chrono stumbles along as Aion pulls him towards the fairgames--although he can't help but chuckle a bit. He's certainly used to this sort of handling from both Aion and Rosette.]

A bet? What sort of bet? But how about...that one? [he points at a booth where bottles are placed on shelves] I think you have to knock them over with baseballs. Although the one with the rings looks fun, too...

Hm? Oh, that's right! The little ones.

[Aion exclaimed as he looks back towards Lilith then to Chrno. He shrugs his shoulder and guides them towards the rings.]

Well, the lady requests rings, dear brother, so rings it is.

[Stopping in front of the stand, he browsed through the toys displayed.]

[Lilith was about to remark she hadn't tried to introduce into their wager, but she wouldn't spoil their moods.

Last time she had been at the fair games, she had known how to play them. Lilith never did. Raised in a sheltered and controlled environment, sent to another planet when her education ended and returned to Earth when the world almost ended to fight a war didn't make her an expert in amusement park attractions]

How gentlemanly of you. [He snorted, then walked up to the attended and paid for his set of rings.]

Okay, so, what will I get if I win? Are we betting money...or prizes?

Shut up, you.

[Aion grumbled as he placed his arm on top of Chrno's head and paid the attendant as well for his own set of rings.]

Hmm... let's see...

[The sinner looked further before spotting an item. His face brightened as he deviously grinned.]

All right then, how about that one? Whoever gets it first wins. Sound good?

Hey! I'm not an armrest! [He pushed up against Aion's arm and glanced over to where he was pointing.]

Oh...the angel one? ~~...However gets the angel first wins, huh?~~

Alright, Aion. You're on!

From:

[He playfully sneered as he raised his arm away.]

Go on then.

[Holding one ring in his right hand, he slyly waited for the right moment, timing it at the same time as Chrno in attempt to hit his ring away.]

Okay. Prepared to be amazed!

[Completely unaware of Aion's plan, Chrono leans forward, carefully lining up his throw before pushing his arm out and releasing the ring.]

[Aion flung his ring at Chrno's, deflecting it away before breaking into a laughter. He couldn't wait to see his reaction.]

From:

[The ring's flying...it looks like it might make it...!]

From:

[But wait--a ring suddenly comes flying from the other side, knocking his ring away!]

From:

What--did you--AION!! What was that for?!

From:

[That look was priceless! The sinner couldn't help but keep laughing.]

You looked so serious, I had to, ha ha ha!

[Calming down as he recovered from being amused, Aion genuinely smiled.]

Were you going to get it for the young lady?

From:

[He frowned, almost pouting at Aion]

Of course I was! That's not the sort of thing you keep for yourself. You have to give it to someone you care about.

From:

Someone you care huh?

[Aion closes his eyes and lightly sighs, placing the empty hand into his pocket. Re-opening them again after a thought, his narrowed eyes softly stares at Chrno as he smiles.]

Hmm... Then I'd probably give it to you.

[Feeling a bit embarrassed by his comment, he scratches his head and pushes Chrno to play the game.]

E-Either way, go again! I promise I won't do anything this time.

[That took Chrono a minute to process. Did Aion just say what he thought he said?]

That...uh...wasn't exactly what I meant. But...thank you. ....I think.

From:

[Chrono clears his throat, looking towards the bear again. He'd get it, this time. He was close before...

He tossed the ring towards the bear again and watched as it sailed through the air--and landed on the bear's head like a lopsided halo.]

I got it...I got it!

[Aion lightly chuckled to Chrno's response. It was an innocent answer. Besides, he didn't really have anyone else to give it to, especially if it were to go to someone he really cared for as Chrno had mentioned. To that thought, a bit of sadness rushed through him but he wasn't exactly sure why. Again, the same blurred image... Grimacing for a moment as a sharp pain was felt by his temple, he quickly looked up to caught the last bit of his friend successfully winning the bear. Weakly smiling, the sinner shrugged and placed a hand onto Chrno's shoulder.]

What, you won already? Geez, and I didn't even get a chance. Well, I suppose its fair.

Done already?

[Lilith had left them their pace, observing their direction from the other side of the booth. She returned now carrying a pink bunny and an orange "octopus" on her grasp.]

I won this for Rena and Jenai. Ah, I know how much Aion dislikes to be treated as a child.

From:

You had a chance, but you used it to knock my ring away! [He took the bear from the attendant at the game and held it close with a grin.] But you still have some rings left, right? Maybe you could win another one.

[He turned towards Lilith when she walked up and got up on his toes to look at the toys she'd won.]

Oh! Those are cute! ...I wonder how Jenai will react when you give him that?

[Aion returned the same grin back at Chrno before hearing Lilith off to the side. Staring at her dumbfounded as she came back with two prizes already in hand, the demon forced a weak smile as a vein pops.]

Lilith... what is that suppose to mean?

[Listening to Chrno, he let out an amused laughter.]

That'd be something worth seeing.

[He looked down at his hand. Two rings left. Rena and Jenai... people at the Cathedral. Giving it another thought, Aion tossed a ring onto a toy sword and a rose hairpin. Receiving his prizes, he walked towards Lilith and added them to her pile.]

Here. For the boy and you.

I think you already know what it means.

[Lilith teased gently and then joined the laughter.]

You two are harsh with dear Jenai. His reaction is already predictable, isn't it?

[Her expression was astonished to Aion's actions.]

Are you sure you don't want to give one of them to Chrono?

Jenai isn't the sort of person you handle with kid gloves.

[Chrono raised an eyebrow as Aion gave the gifts to Lilith. That was a pretty hairpin...]

Me? [He shook his head and laughed at Lilith's question.] I'm too old for a toy sword! ...And too male for the hairpin.

There you have it. I guess not, Lilith. He doesn't appreciate things I give him anyway~

[Aion teased as he grinned at Chrno. With a smile, he turned away and gestured for them to move on.]
