It was nice meeting you at the hospital party, Doctor. Perhaps another opportunity will rise soon enough.

I've spoken to your suggested colleague. She's quite the character I must say. A trump to your deck perhaps? Ha ha ha.

[Action log: &Cassagioso]
[Tonight had been the first night for the past few days that Aion had really spoken to anyone. Lost in his thoughts and aggravated beyond any word that can describe it, he spent most of his nights at Cassagioso, downing a bottle of liquor to ease himself while he tried to formulate plan B. Chrno's return to the City rose new issues for what he had in store. He had once used a foreseer, Mary Magdalene, and now there were three more who've claimed they've seen the future; That they are also aware of the 'truth'. All from his world. The best course of action is to use that to his advantage but this sense of uncertainty drove him wild. His confidence shattered and plans getting out of hand, out of his control, was infuriating the Sinner the most.
Besides, it was now that he knew of everything. Well, almost everything. Aion took another sip of his drink as he heavily sighed. He leaned back in his chair and massaged his temples with one hand as it slipped underneath his glasses. Sliding it back down after a minute or two and covering his mouth, his deadly eyes stared at the wall in front of him as he thought further. What was he to do now? It sounded as though Chrno had left with the knowledge of the City. Was he able to change the future? There were many things he needed to ask him but he wanted to be spared of the family crap. His dulled sword now beyond repairable. The expectations he had of him were shot, only leaving him an empty shell. At least this City was good for shopping for another. The only problem left was to figure out how to export one with him; A deadly weapon that can make his tasks ten times easier. There had to be a way even if he was told he couldn't. He phoned a few for starters and went back to his drink to end the night. There was still a half a bottle left after all.]
[ooc: Action log open to anyone though I'm going to assume that each interaction takes place at different times. One leaves and the next person enters just to keep it simple and I'd prefer no wreaking of havoc or provoking the poor sinner till he takes extensive action unless you've got an idea you want to share with me~<33 Just let me know! Thanks~<333]

Date: 2009-09-11 03:31 am (UTC)[A soft voice asked from behind Aion. Lilith had been worried that the Sinner didn't appear for dinner or the coffee afterwards, but understood why he wanted space. Chrono was the reason. He had said something that made her fear for Aion's safety when they spoke. Chrono had changed. He had matured.
She looked at him, her thoughts and feelings unreadable behind a patience smile on her face. She lowered her eyelids, debating to take him to the Cathedral now or wait, she decided for the latter and moved to sit accross him.]
Would you terribly mind my company?
Comment log: VERY late at night
Date: 2009-09-11 08:43 am (UTC)All right. Take a seat.
[Not that he had much of a say in it. That was Lilith.]

Date: 2009-09-11 04:22 pm (UTC)I wish you talked more about your problems, Aion. The bottle isn't a reliable companion.
Comment log: VERY late at night
Date: 2009-09-11 09:12 pm (UTC)Ha ha ha. And what do you want me to say? That I'm in need of holding your hand so that I may making it through the night? Heh, ridiculous. I'm not him. Certain plans needed adjusting. That's all. [Sips.]
Comment log: VERY late at night
Date: 2009-09-11 10:10 pm (UTC)No, you are not him. He doesn't hide behind alcohol like you do and he isn't the one who lost.
[She reminds him, releasing the empty bottle.]
What do you want to say? That's up to you, Aion, but I implore you to remember I will not be always here to listen.
Comment log: VERY late at night
Date: 2009-09-11 11:45 pm (UTC)[Aion's hand halted as he stared at her with his cold eyes to those words. What did she know. He had his victory as small and costly as it was but there was no solid proof as much as the others claim to know the future. There was no time to be lax. He had to see it through himself just as she... It's not as if she listens to him either as manipulative the reason may have been with a hint of hidden desire. The same all in all.]
I've never expected you to lend me your ear nor would I ever.
Comment log: VERY late at night
Date: 2009-09-12 12:15 am (UTC)[She asked. He didn't appear a man celebrating a victory, he appeared someone musing how to avoid a defeat. She folds her hands on her lap and gave him a serene glance.]
The offer was made. The bottles don't have ears, Aion. Look around you. Who else is sitting with you?
[She didn't have to remind him who had lived with him for months in this unpredictable City. Who else did he have right now?]

Date: 2009-09-11 05:20 am (UTC)Still, it was obvious that there was something troubling Aion, and weren't bartenders supposed to help out with troubles, too? Actually, Lockon wasn't very familiar with that trope, but it was in his nature nonetheless.
So he leaned forward a little on the counter near Aion and regarded him with friendly curiosity.]
No variety? Not going to try anything else?
action;
Date: 2009-09-11 08:50 am (UTC)It does its trick. Though I take if you have something else you'd like to offer me. What do you suggest?
action;
Date: 2009-09-11 09:27 pm (UTC)I'm a little new to the bartending business, but I'm sure I could mix something up that's a little more exciting than that. Maybe a whiskey sour? The sour's in case you really want to hang onto that bad mood.
action;
Date: 2009-09-12 12:17 am (UTC)As a matter of fact, I think I'm starting to feel better already.[He grinned.] The use of a sour with Whiskey. Sounds interesting enough though I'd prefer it straight. Entertain me why don't you.
action;
Date: 2009-09-12 01:35 am (UTC)[With another grin, Lockon cocked one gloved hand in a gun gesture--even when tending bar, he couldn't quite shake that habit.]
It's always fun to try new things, right?
[He set to work mixing the drink, pausing only briefly to consult a guide posted behind the bar. It gave him time to recall whether he'd seen this man before--but he didn't think he had. Perhaps on the Network somewhere, but that was it.]
Here you go.
action;
Date: 2009-09-13 12:48 pm (UTC)Cheers.
[He circled it once as he took in the scent before taking a sip. The sinner's eyes never left the man even so. A bitter sweet taste. He wasn't much for sweet drinks but it was a nice change for once.]
The sour hint to it. Not bad. [He grinned and placed it down as he continued.] Tell me, what inspired you to bar tend of all things?

Date: 2009-09-11 06:49 am (UTC)Okay. I've been doing research, but haven't really found anything. I know other people are also hitting the books, but I haven't contacted them yet. I'll be making a trip to the library soonish, but I don't have high hopes of finding anything--it seems that the stacks are rather disorganized, and I don't think the "dieties" would be leaving relevant information lying around. I'm tempted to ask questions directly, if I knew how.
Interesting People:
Umehito Nekozawa: actually, not that interesting except the Lieutenant was wearing his body last weekend. Wants to be a goth when he grows up. No sense of power from him, but he claims to be able to cast spells and curses.
Dr. Leonard McCoy: Medical doctor from a future timeline. Very high tech! Probably not a very useful contact though.
Lorn: Not a human. I have no idea of what he is. He's apparently trying to get the funds to open a karaoke bar. He has a gimmick where he's claiming to read people's destinies and is able to steer people onto "the right path." I have no idea if he's legit, but it might be worth looking into, though he's definitely no Mary.
Rupert Giles: This guy belonged to an organization roughly equivalent to the Magdalen Order. I say "roughly" because they kind of sucked at strategy if Mr. Giles' opinion is accurate. Or rather, the opinion of Giles' younger self, who reminded me of a cross between Genai and Viede. "Ripper" is the younger self, who appeared during a curse. Very Interesting.
[PRIVATE]
Date: 2009-09-11 09:05 am (UTC)Umehito Nekozawa: I'll keep him in mind then. Add Hiiragi Keiichi to that list. He's similar in nature.
Dr. Leonard McCoy: And why is that?
Lorn: All right.
Rupert Giles: I see. I'll take your word for it though keep an eye on him.
If you're in need of privacy, contact her at the Den. Lady Basene is her name. Mention me and she'll provide you with a room. Good work.

Date: 2009-09-11 04:51 pm (UTC)--Okay.
--Dr. McCoy. I'm not sure. It's pretty much just a feeling since I don't have a lot of interaction with him.
--We'll need to see if he actually has the ability first, if/when the place opens.
--I was planning on it.
--Okay.
Aion, are you okay? Please answer as that's kind of important.

Date: 2009-09-11 09:18 pm (UTC)Lorn- All right.
Rupert- Good.
I'm fine. Keep me posted.
