[89] Open Invitation

[Have a sinner sitting at what seems like a small bar somewhere. Facing the screen dead on with a small glass of whiskey before him, he rests his cheek on the back of his hand.]

They've opened the doors again, have they?

[He lightly laughed as he circled the glass.]

It'll be interesting to see, who's visiting this time...

[ooc; 4th wall is a go, spoilers are ok now since he already knows most lD;;;]

[He saw the smile and lightly chuckled.] All right.

[And of course, as sneaky as she wanted to be, he sensed her coming. With a weak smile and light sigh, he allowed it to happen for old time sake.]

You haven't changed one bit. [He nodded towards the seat next to him.] Order whatever you'd like.

Me? Change? Why would I change? [She says it lightly, but she's definitely confused. After plopping down on the seat next to him, she scans the menu for a moment before looking back up at him.]

Hey, Aion? Judging by the name...is this your place?

[That confused look made him think twice. Was she from a time before his? The complexity this world brought.]

That's right. Nostalgic, isn't it? Or is it not as much for you?

Nostalgic? A bit...there's a lot of memories on Eden.

[He gravely stared at Shader from hearing her reaction.]

What's the last thing you remember?

Eh? Before coming here?

Well...you sent me a message that you were going to the carnival to get the last Apostle, so I should stand by and wait to open the gate.

...Can I ask a question, too?

[His eyes slightly widened to hear that before he forced a small chuckle.]

I see... Same timeline. Giving me an opening I take it. [He quietly mumbled under his breath.]

If--if you have a bar here...how long have you been here?

[He grew more silent before answering with a sip of his drink.]

Almost three years... You've been here as well.

Wh-what? Three years? [She's staring. She knows Aion would never lie to her, but it's hard to believe.] And I've been here, too? How is that possible? I don't remember this place at all.

That's right and as I figured. Most lose their memory upon returning home or so I've learned. However..

[He then grinned in a way that Shader most likely knew. Something was on his mind.]

I still have all that you've worked on since then.

[It's only a short time later that she finds herself before the address that she had been given. While some things had clearly changed since she had last been here (she's not even sure how long ago), some things had also stayed the same.]

Master Aion.

[And although there is a momentary second of surprise at finding the other.]

Master Shader.

Really? So...has it been helpful to you so far?

[She's about to ask more, but Fiore comes in and...well, that's pretty distracting to her.]

Fi~! You're here, too? [You get a hug too, Fiore!]

[He glanced over towards her to acknowledge her presence before offering a small smile.]

Good work. Were there any troubles?

[He held out his hand for her to hand him the asked items.]

Ah. [Shader was as enthusiastic as ever it seemed, provoking a soft blush from Fi.

She moved to dislodge an arm from the hug to pass along the items that Aion had asked for.] There were none.

Oh? [That catches Shader's attention. She leans over to see what Fiore's handing Aion.] What's that?

Good. Hm?

[He gladly accepted the few before raising his brows at Shader. With a grin, he held one between his index and thumb to show the summoner jewel that she was familiar with.]

Simply stocking, that's all. Fi has been doing so every time she's managed to come to this world. It'll prove useful for the revolution.

[It did seem to have happened several times all ready, starting from her initial arrival in this city to these unexpected visits. Time, it seemed, had passed here, but little had transpired at home. At least from her view point.]

Ah...[Her smile got a bit sadder at that--she can't help but think about the people that must have had to be taken to make those jewels, even if she knows it's a necessity.] That's very resourceful of you, Aion. Good call.

[And of course, he missed that look on her face. Whether he purposely did or not was hard to say, but he went on to explain more with a sternness to his face. Hands clasped before him.]

It'll be a challenge that's for certain. Without everyone here, I'll need all the resources I could get my hands on. However, once this is over I should be able to rendezvous with both of you back on Earth.

[He glanced towards Fiore.]

What is the last that you recall prior to coming here this time, Fi?

[Fi was aware of the change of expression upon Shader's face although no comment about it was made. Her attention was focused upon Aion when he spoke. Pausing for a moment.]

More or less the same as the other times. Only a few more minutes have passed.

A few minutes? That must get confusing! Poor, poor Fi...[It's hard to say if she's serious on that or just using it as an excuse to cuddle her some more--probably both. She gives the maid another squeeze, a pat on the head, and then lets her go.]

[His eyes remained fixated on her as the cogs began to turn. Only a few minutes... He tried to recall the first time he was summoned here and the things he saw prior to his arrival. Was it a sudden pull or a bait that lured him in? He clenched his head and took a sip of his drink.

It's been so long...

Finally he answered.]

I see... All right. I'm certain others may have tried this but it's worth a shot. I'm going to give you both something to take back with you.

[Seeing the place empty by now, he nodded towards the doll.]

Fi, go lock the door and follow behind.

[He then glanced at Shader and gestured her to follow.]

To the back.

[That small colouring of her cheeks again as Shader once more gives her an affectionate hug. She is sure that Aion would like more information than that, but Fi is unable to provide it as t he only thing she could state would be who had taken what for their meal since the last time she had been here.

With a small nod, sh e moves away from the two of them, locking the door.]
